- Graduated with honors, summa cum laude, 3.96
- Graduate School: University of Massachusetts Boston, Nurse Practitioner program
- Regular attendee at Indian Trail Town Council meetings for almost 2 years
- One of a small group of I.T. residents who worked purposefully and successfully at the grass-roots citizen level to create the change necessary to bring beer/wine/mixed drinks referendums to Indian Trail, believing in THE VOTERS RIGHT TO CHOOSE.

Living in Indian Trail for almost 7 years now, we have seen many changes take place in our community. Some we have been excited about (Extreme Ice, Carolina Courts, Sun Valley Commons, Walmart and Lowes to name a few) and some we have not been so excited about (just how many fast food restaurants and storage facilities should any one town have?!) And in contrast to the changes that have occurred, I will be honest and say I have been disappointed in certain changes that have not occurred (fruition of our downtown development, beautification of Indian Trail Road, active recruitment of business and industry to increase our commercial tax revenue and bring in local jobs, etc.)
Indian Trail was given the very special honor in Family Circle magazine this year as one of the top 10 cities in which to live. At the same time, we who live here all realize that Indian Trail still has LOTS of room for improvement. Do I love living in Indian Trail? Yes, I do. Do I see many opportunities on the horizon that will increase our quality of life, offset our residential property tax burden, and maintain and even increase our property values? Absolutely!
