Thank you for visiting my website and for your willingness to take some time to learn more about who I am and what my vision is for Indian Trail. Please browse the TABS above which are representative of the issues that I believe are of great importance to the town of Indian Trail and its citizens–and which serve as the bases for why I am running for Indian Trail Town Council. More detailed viewpoints are to the right and will be updated throughout this election campaign, so be sure to revisit to read my latest posts!
Briefly, my agenda items include the following:
- QUALITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT is of vital importance to Indian Trail. Prospecting for and creating opportunities that will attract businesses to Indian Trail will serve to provide for a much needed stream of commercially generated tax revenue–a great benefit to our 25,000+ residents, and a great way to keep our taxes low! Providing green space where our residents can come together will instill a community spirit that is vital to any town, while providing entertainment and respite for all of our citizens, of all ages. A thoughtfully designed “Indian Trail Commons” or “Indian Trail Park on the Greens” would serve as a community anchor and allow for regular community events, festivals, concerts on the green, and more! - Our current LAW ENFORCEMENT ARRANGEMENT with the Union County Sheriff’s Office should be further researched to determine if this is, in fact, the best use of our tax dollars in the provision of public safety. Given that Indian Trail is one of the largest towns in Union County, exploring this area now is extremely important, as we continue to grow and have already exceeded 25,000 residents. The question on this hot topic is “Which arrangement best serves the citizens of Indian Trail, not just for now, but in the future?” (read more…)
- ROADS are on everybody’s minds these days. There is no escaping for any of us when it comes to our frustration over roads. Unfortunately, the Department of Transportation is the ultimate decision-maker about which projects get funded and when. But Indian Trail may be able to get creative in our approach to road projects, and there is no doubt that this must be explored as a high priority. (read more…)
